The Milk & Tickles colour changing feeding bottle is made from polypropylene plastic (PP) and it does not contain the chemical known as Bisphenol A (PBA). PBA has become controversial because it is proven to leach out of the polycarbonate plastic which is the most common form of plastic used worldwide in the production of baby feeding bottles. Polycarbonate plastic is easy to identify because of its harder plastic surface.
BPA is a chemical that mimics oestrogen and thus could interfere with a baby's normal hormone structure. Some research indicates that the amount of BPA that ends up in the baby formula is greatly increased when the contents in the bottle are heated and that this increase could affect a child's normal development.
