Tommy Toe Organics - organic ghee (clarified butter) 270g

Why Tommy Toe clarified butter? Because it hasn’t been through high-heat (it hasn’t been pasteurised) all the enzymes are still intact. This preserves all the natural vitamins and minerals making it easier for you to digest and benefit from the goodness of raw, organic butter. In ancient India, the cow was sacred because it provided three basic products: Milk, Yoghurt or curd and ghee. All traditionally used in Aryuvedic medicine. Indians have traditionally used ghee in cooking instead of processed oils because of its medicinal properties.

Tommy Toe Clarified Butter is uncontaminated. Pure, unadulterated, certified organic raw butter is the only ingredient. Despite this, the crucial ingredient is not the raw butter... but the chef. You see, first-class gourmet organic clarified butter is extremely hard to find because of the inherent difficulties in making it. Getting the timing right is key - it needs to be perfect - as it will burn in a split-second. Few have ever been schooled in this dying traditional art; for it demands absolute perfection and an intuitive eye that takes years of experience to master. Tommy Toe Organics have over 50 years experience in the fine-art of making clarified butter using traditional and nourishing methods.

Until recently, this was available only to a few privileged families who had the good fortune to have had these lessons handed down from one generation to the next.
Now for the first time, Tommy Toe Organics have taken great lengths to ensure the same wholesome organic clarified butter - made by hand with the same love and care that tradition demands - is available to discerning Australians who want the best for themselves, their families and their friends

Serving Suggestions:

This highly versatile gourmet clarified butter is especially great with all forms of fine-cooking... clarified butter will enhance all of your cooking as it not only enriches the natural flavours in the dish, but it’s extremely nourishing as well. It’s particularly wonderful in curries, and can lift home-made confectionary to a whole new level. It has a shelf life of 9-months unopened. If opened, it should be stored in the fridge and should last up to a year.
